I chose this one because it docent have much to focus on but the ring and maybe the top of the bottle I put it onto. This is a ring that I got when I was eleven at Cooperstown in New York for a baseball tournament. It really means a lot because going to Cooperstown was a big thing for me because its the baseball central and a big thing for people who are that age. I tired taking this photo in many different backgrounds and I couldn't find a good one for this because it was either grainy or it was busy so I put this next to my light on my bedside table set it one a bottle and blurred the background with the aperture and took the picture.

In this assignment we had to learn how to retouch a car with photoshop. We had to remove background and we also had to remove reflections on the hood of the car. We cropped the image and edited it to make it look better. We also had to learn how to use the quick select tool to remove the background and to tint the windshield of the car.
This is the picture I chose to use as my best photo. It was getting dark outside so I had to use my flash o my camera but I feel like if it was during the day and bright outside it wouldn't look as good the flash add a element to it that nothing else would really give. It was really difficult to decide whether I needed flash or not on the picture I had to take every photo about three times to get it just the way I wanted. Grain was a big problem with this because it was so dark outside. So I had to really use the flash in some of these that were later in the night. Some of these picture were taken a but earlier in the day when there was still a little bit of light out but mostly they were all taken when it was fairly dark out. With this photo I had to do a lot to make sure it wasn't too bright or too dark so I darkened the whites to make it a bit darker so the flash wasn't so bad and I also decreased the exposure so that also made sure that the light wasn't so bright. I also turned the vibrance up a bit so the flower popped out more than it actually did.
ISO 6400 / 18mm / f/5.6 / 1/100 sec In this assignment I decided to take pictures of animals specifically my two dogs. I learned that it is very hard to get animals to sit still and take good pictures of them. Depth of field is very important when taking pictures of animals because if you don't have the correct depth of field then you may not get all the facial features of the animal one a close up shot or if its to far then the background may distract you from the main subject. This is my favorite photo I took this shoot. This is a close up shot of my dog Truman. I added more contrast to the black and white on him. I made blacks more black and I made whites more white. I made it a bit sharper when it comes to the corners and the front part of his face using clarity.
ISO 3200 f/5.0 1/25 The first shooting assignment I chose to do is animals. I have always loves taking pictures of my dogs and Ive never done it with an actual camera just with my phone. I have two dogs both are Great Danes. The oldest is Truman he has more defined black spots while the other one Owen is larger and has less defined spots all over his body. Some of the photos that made me want to do this assignment in particular are Photo 1 iStock_000056043264_Small.jpg Photo 2 imagedoggreat-dane-harlequin-matblog.jpg Photo 3 500000290_medium.jpg I really like the first picture because it really shows the size of the dog and not just a portion of the dog. Picture 2 I really like because it also shows the dog but it also is more of a detailed picture it shows the defined spots and it also shows his eyes more than the first one. The final one I really enjoy because it get the whole surrounding of the area instead of mainly focusing on just the dog. the blanket that the dog is sitting on is one thing and then the dog is the main one.
In this assignment we went all around the school to find specific elements of photography. There are 11 compositions that were assigned, texture, rule of thirds, depth of field, color, space, balance, lines, symmetry, framing, perspective, and pattern. I learned the importance of all of these elements. Some of them are very difficult to find and others can be made of anything. Trying to find specific elements were pretty difficult but it was possible.
My name is Fletcher Whitley. I play baseball and I am the youngest of my family. I have one sister and two brothers. I also have two dogs name Owen and Truman they're both Great Danes. I enjoy playing video games in my free time and playing with my dogs. The reason I took this class is because I took video production and I really enjoyed it and wanted a different experience in the photography and videography industries. My brother Cooper also took this class and he really enjoyed it and suggested it to me. I am really excited to get more into photography outside of just this class.

AuthorHi Im Fletcher I own 2 dogs and they're pretty neat. I also have two brothers and a sister. One of my brothers Cooper he took this same class and recommended me to do it and I did and its pretty fun. I always had been interested in being a photographer but not really thought about it that much but now that its been a few weeks its definitely something I would consider doing as a hobby in my future.
